I got this at a pawn shop and I have found some use for it. Sometimes I point it at the 12th fret at an acoustic guitar and it sounds great. The next I do the same thing and it doesn’t quite sit well with other instruments. It is always on the high pass switch partly because I can never find a paper clip at the time to move it. I use it high hats when I do decide to add more drum tracks. Seemingly there is no proximity effect on this mic but I could be wrong. It comes with a windscreen so if you want to sing into it, at least it’s got that going for you.
